SPAM, SPAM, SPAM: Let's make Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a big success !

Hello Nepali,

I'm a nepali too and I don't agree with this Nepal Tourism Year 2011. On my opinion, we don't need 1 million of jhole tourists. What we need is not quantity but quality!

Look at the example of Bhutan - few thousand of quality tourists and I think they are earning better from tourism than what nepal earned from half a million of tourists visiting in 2009.

Of course it's and will be a "big joke" for general nepali population as well! What can we expect from 1 millions of jholes who bargains for paying an accomodation of 200/300rps and find it too much for paying a 100 /200 bucks for food a day? Do you see a benefit from the tourists who wants to save money while travelling?
If there is no benefit for the country from tourism, why do we need 1 million? Tourism should bring benefit to the country and it's big population then it's sustainable and success. If it only brings some benefits for some small population in thamel and pokhara agents then it's not good - just simply not good and we have to review our tourism policy.

Nepal should not focus on being a cheap destination.

So it's just a big SPAM.

cheers :-)
